Who we are
Surface Science LLC is a deep-tech coatings startup founded in 2021 to commercialize surface engineering technology developed with US Government funding (DoD, DOE, DARPA). We are an R&D-stage company actively pursuing funded projects with government agencies and private industry partners.
Led by Dr. Rahul Ganguli (IIT Bombay BTech, UCLA PhD, Cornell) - 25+ years R&D leadership in in coatings and surface modification. Principal Scientist (Teledyne), CTO (Intelligent Optical Systems)
Based at Ventura BioCenter, Thousand Oaks, CA.

Onsite Chemical Generation Photocatalytic optical fiber coatings for distributed chemical synthesis.
Non-Toxic Fouling Resistance Engineered low-energy surfaces that prevents broadspectrum biofouling without toxins.
